The Chester Guitar Circle meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 8.00 to 10.30 p.m. at Chester Deaf Centre, Southview Road, Chester. We play classical music principally from Spain and South America, and also from other European countries. The emphasis at the Circle is on performance by its members. We do not have a concert series. The playing standard ranges from beginners to semi-professional and professional. We play guitar solos, guitar ensembles and ensembles with guitar and other instruments. Some of our ensemble music has been specially written for Circle members. Amongst our members are several guitar teachers and professional performers. We have a library of magazines and cds. The membership fee is £1 per year, with an entrance fee of £2 per session

Chester Food and Drink Festival 2006 - Even Bigger and Better!
Organisers of the Chester Food & Drink Festival have announced the dates for this year and an even bigger Marquee. Chester Food and Drink Festival Taste Marquee is planned for 15 – 17 April 2006, Easter Saturday to Easter Monday. A Food and Drink Fringe Festival will also take place around the City from 12 – 22 April 2006. This will include the Cheese Rolling on 15th March, Bottle Cap Mosaic World Record Attempt on 3rd April and the Ale Assize on 22nd April.
